I’m Kayt, and I am on a constant mission to balance excellent flavor, perfect method, and healthiness in my recipes. I tend to go through spells where I’ll eat one way for a while, then try something else, but it’s always in pursuit of balancing those three things. I love food, and I really love cooking, so I am hoping to share the love by posting some of our favorite creations on here.

In addition to cooking, I am really into history. Actually, history was what got me interested in food in the first place. I am always fascinated by the role of food in human history, and a lot of what I cook comes from a place of exploring the various methods, ingredients, and recipes from different times and places. Throughout this blog, you will find more than just the nuts and bolts of how to make a dish; you’ll also get to read about the past and people behind it.
